| When creating this company and
designing the computers that would bear the Dawson name, I was often
asked why I would not choose to build just an average computer that
commands the highest markup. Research has shown that by using the
lower cost alternatives and not listing the components in our
advertising, we could make a higher profit as the average buyer would
not recognize the difference. Many buyers do not have the time to
truly investigate every nuance that such a complicated piece of
equipment can hold. However, the same research has also shown that a
computer built with just profit margin in mind is far less reliable.
A poorly made, albeit high profit, computer
would ultimately lead to the alienation of our most important
commodity- our customers. That is not a price I am willing to pay. I
am proud to have my name on every computer that leaves our premises. I
will make the best computer you can buy. My name is Dan Dawson and you
have my word on it.
